Brief: To develop a user guide and quick reference card for a basic Internet terminal that uses a standard telephone line and connects to a television set. The target market would likely include novice users who may never have previously used the Internet or a computer.

Solution: A 'near-A4' landscape booklet and accompanying folded reference card. Both items take a step by step approach, with clear explanations and diagrams to ease the novice user gently into using the Internet. A spacious and open style is used and where the use of jargon is unavoidable, it is explained clearly in mini 'Jargon Check' sections on each offending page.
